Project Aim
Ric Bower and Rhiannon Lowe will explore what art online might look like if it utilised existing technologies more imaginatively and avoided simply replicating the physical gallery experience.
Our research will bring together knowledge from the computer games industry, artists, and programmers, with considerations around the idea of ‘being in the world’. We hope to discover how online, virtual art experience might interact more provocatively and mysteriously with lived, physical reality. Following a period of research, we will host conversations between specialists from different fields, applying what we learn to two live art projects.
