Project Aim
Court lists and registers detail who have appeared in Magistrates’ Courts and who are due to appear and are sent out electronically daily by the local court. In an era of centralisation and court closures, these documents are too unwieldy for journalists to look at and process. Caerphilly Media Ltd, publishers of the award-winning Caerphilly Observer newspaper, will develop software that extracts this information and stores it in a searchable format. This will enable journalists to look up court information easily and allow them to plan ahead more effectively.
