Project Aim
SR Production Services is a company focusing on the design, specification and supply of cutting-edge technical installations for live events, film and television. Started by three USW graduates in 2014, the company has grown to be a key supplier for many local and national productions both large and small.
During the events of the last 16 months, we have witnessed a sea change in the ways that people experience entertainment. As a physical production company, we have had to adapt and evolve to function in this new normal. We ran several pilot projects throughout lockdown holding events with real performers in virtual spaces, allowing creatives to continue to showcase their art and audiences to continue to experience them.
Building on the experience gained and technology developed in this time, we are setting up a new division called SR Immersive. Over the next 12 months, we aim to develop a variety of offerings to suit the changing needs of clients and audiences, integrating emerging technologies such as VR and XR with traditional theatrical techniques to create experiences that blur the line between real and virtual.
We hope to help make Cardiff a centre of Virtual and Immersive production in the UK.
