Project Aim
The global gig economy is expected to more than double in size by 2023 to $455 Bn USD. Yet in Wales, more than 70% of creative freelancers had difficulty understanding and accessing Welsh Government’s Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) due to poorly defined provision for freelance and portfolio careers. Furthermore, the Freelance Wales Taskforce has identified graduates, early career workers, and parent/carers as being amongst the individuals most in need of career support. Our Creative Careers Platform aims to engage, inspire, and inform new, returning, and early career freelancers; helping them to grow their confidence, connections, and professional capabilities.
