Bright Branch Media Clwstwr-funded research and development project The Disappearance of Jayden Jones went live at 7pm, Thursday (10 February 2022).

The aim of our project was to develop our understanding and technical expertise in live fictional drama. The purpose of the fictional event was to help develop our interactive storytelling and refine our technical prototype.

The audience were able to participate in this live scripted experience across Facebook and YouTube in a meaningful and engaging way. Uisng their super-sleuth skills to play a vital part in solving the mystery.

Each audience member became one of the detectives in this live drama, helping Tara, the leading character, in her mission to find her brother, Jayden Jones, using the internet and social media to piece together his trail from the night before he disappeared.

Tara was able to monitor the audience's posts and respond to them directly, pulling them into the narrative and making them a key person in the drama. As a research project, feedback was welcomed to help improve the product we are building.
