A socially responsible news sector for Wales
Clwstwr was particularly interested in changing the way we identify, gather, share and engage with news to improve the quality of news gathering, reach new audiences and create a more inclusive, informed and sustainable nation.
The programme supported research and development (R&D) to create new informational genres with a focus on data and new technologies or platforms that enhance the business model for public interest news.
We built collaborations with industry, academia and communities to inspire world leading, unique, bold and inclusive lines of research and development.
Our aims were to: support the R&D of innovative and inclusive ways of working that enhance the business model for public interest news, to make our structures and processes as diverse and accessible as possible and to establish diverse and inclusive partnerships and collaborations.
